Research Abstract No.55 Factors Related to Drug Addicts Behavior of Adolescents by Pachongchit Intasuwan, Wiladlak Chuawanlee, Prateep Jinnge, Supaporn Thanachanan, Aumphornpun Buavirat, and Vachiraporn Achariyakosol The purpose of this study was to investigate external and internal factors which could distinguish between the addicts and the non-addicts, and to analyze the family relationships of the addicts. The external factors of social environment referred to socializing agents : family, school, friends, and mass media while the internal factors referred to personality traits of the sample. These factors made up ten independent variables. The results showed that the addicts had a more correct belief about drugs, a lower level of drug self - efficacy, and a more negative self - concept than the non - addicts.
