Research Abstract No.53 The causal relationship among buddhist characteristics, psychological traits and job performance of teachers and nurses by Asst.Prof. Dr.Dusadee Yoelao Ms.Apinya Potisrithong, Mr.Parinya Na Wanchan Buddhism is a major religion of Thais for more than 2,000 years. Theoretically and empirically religion beliefs and practices correlate with many social behaviors. The present study employed path analysis in sample of 400 teachers and 293 nurses to access psychological and buddhist variables predictive of work performance. It was found that buddhist variables had direct effect on work performance of nurses but it had indirect effect on work performance of teachers.
