Research Report No.22 Thai Children's Civic Awareness by Sawana Pornpatkul 1977 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The purposes of this research were to study the level of civic awareness of the sample, to compare it between those who studied schools in and outside Bangkok Metropolis and also to compare it according to sex, age, grade level, and level of parents' education. Stratified random sampling was used resulting in 1511 subjects of middle economic status Civic awareness questionnaire had a reliability of 0.676. Description of indices, chi-square and correlation were used to analyze the data. It was found that Thai children civic awareness was generally low. Only economic awareness was higher than 50%. Awareness of morality, political trend of the government were about middle level.
