Research Report No.14 Thai Reading Test Construction for Fourth Graders and Its Testing Results by Somnuk Comurai 1973 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This test construction aims to get two types of Thai Reading Test. One type was for evaluating speed reading with fair understanding in Thai language called speed reading Test. The other type was for evaluating reading comprehension so it was called Reading Comprehension Test. In each pair of the tests (one pair in speed Reading Test and another pair in Reading Comprehension Test) Consisted of "parallelism" in simplicity, amusement and length of the tests. Mothodology a. The subjects were students in Prathom IV b. Two types of the test were employed they were : 3 sets of Speed Reading Test and 2 sets of Reading Comprehension Test. Each was divided into Form A and Form B. Conclusions Two sets of Speed Reading Test and 2 sets of Reading Comprehension Test were approved; but from B of Speed Reading Test and Form A of Reading Comprehension Test were more popularly administered.
