The purposes of this study were as follows : 1) to study the correlations between bio-social characteristics, work atmosphere, psychological traits and the creativity on work performance of the Bureaucrat in Education and Training Division, Air Technical Training School. 2) to study the prediction power of the bio-social characteristics, the work atmosphere and psychological traits to creativity on work performance of the Bureaucrat in Education and Training Division, Air Technical Training school. And 3) to study the interaction and main effects of bio-social characteristics, work atmosphere and psychological traits on creativity on work performance of the Bureaucrat in Education and Training Division, Air Technical Training school. One hundred and seventy eight bureaucrats in Education and Training Division, Air Technical Training School Directorate of Education and Training, The Royal Thai Air Force were used as the sample. Four types of instrument were administered: 1) A questionnaire to measure bio-social characteristics: Sex, work-experience and educational levels. 2) A questionnaire to measure work atmosphere. 3) Three scales to measure psychological traits : Work satisfaction, leadership and attitude towards bureaucracy. 4) A test to measure creativity on work performance. Pearson product moment correlation, Multiple Regression and Analysis of Variance were used to analyze the data. The results were as follows: 1) There was no significant correlations between the independent variables bio-social characteristics, work atmosphere, psychological traits and the creativity on work performance. But the bio-social characteristics, the work atmosphere and the psychological traits all together could predict the creativity on work performance. 2) There was no significant interaction effect of sex, educational levels and work experience when the creativity on work performance was used as the dependent variable. However, when considered subscores, it was found that the male with lower educational level had higher scores on flexibility than other groups, especially the female with higher educational level. 3) There was no significant interaction effect of educational levels and work satisfaction when the creativity on work performance was used as the dependent variable. But when considered subscores, it was found that the bureaucrats with lower educational level and less work experience had higher scores on originality than the others especially the ones with high educational level and more work experience. 4) There was no significant interaction effect of leadership and work experience when the creativity on work performance was used as the dependent variable. But when considered subscores, it was found that the bureaucrats with lower leadership and more work experience had higher scores on flexibility than the others especially the ones with higher leadership and less work experience. 5) There was no significant interaction effect of sex and attitude toward bureaucracy when the creativity on work performance was used as the dependent variable. But when considered subscores, it was found that male with lower attitude toward bureaucuacy had higher scores on flexibility than the others, especially the female with higher attitude toward bureaucrat. 6) There was no significant difference of the creativity on work performance between the high scores and the low scores on work atmospere. 7) There was no significant difference of the creativity on work performance between the high scores and the low scores on work satisfaction. | SWU | | BSRI |
