Sopida Limwattanapun. 1995. A Comparison of the Effects of Behavior Modification Procedures : Self Control Versus Token Reinforcement on Increasing and Maintaining Assignment Responsibility Behaviors of the First Year Burirum Technical college Students. Dissertation, M.S. (Behavioral Science) Behavioral Science Research Institute. The purposes of this experimental research were to compare and study the effects of behavior modification procedures: self-control versus token-reinforcement on increasing and maintaining assignment responsibility behaviors of the first-year Burirum Technical College students. The subjects of 15 students were randomly selected from the first-year male technical students whose assignment responsibility behaviors were low. The subjects were then randomly divided into 3 groups, each group consisted of 5 students. The experimental group I was exposed to the self-control procedure while experiment guoup II was treated with token-reinfoucement procedure. The third group was a control group. The experimental design was ABF Control Group Design. The assignment responsibility behaviors forms were used to record the data. The results were as follows : 1. The assignment responsibility behaviors both in the treatment and follow-up periods of the self-control group and the token-reinforcement group were significantly higher than their baseline period at .05 level. 2. The assignment responsibility behaviors of the students exposed to the self-control procedure and the token-reinforcement procedure were significantly higher than the control group both in the treatment and follow-up periods at .05 level. 3. No significant difference in the assignment responsibility behaviors during the treatment periods of the self-control group and the token-reinforcement group was found. 4. In the follow-up period, the assignment responsibility behaviors of the students exposed to the self-control procedure were significantly higher than those given token-reinforcement procedure at .05 level. | SWU | | BSRI |
