The main purposes of this study were to study the socio-economic education and psychological factors related to the adoption of Technology for Soil and Water Conservation of the farmers in villages around Kho Hin Sorn Agricultural Research and Development Centre, a Project Initiated by His Majesty the King. The samples consisted of 153 house-holder in two villages by cluster sampling. Tools used in this research were a set of questionairs (12 items). The ferst part of questionaire was an inquiry for the biosocial background of the respondents. The second part of questionaire was able three personality inventories test. The third one was the questionair of adoption of technology for soil and water conservation. The data were analyzed by SPSSX at the significant level of .01 and .05. The result of the research were as follows: 1. It is found that the average age of the group was 43.31 years. About 63.36 % of the group had own farm with average farm size was 30.31 rais and owned land usable for casvas growing. Most of them are finished Prathomsuksa 4 (grade 4), the average income was 33,640.50 bath/year and the average liabilities was 4,740 bath/house-holder. About 62.75 % of the group was trained by government service in these who have mean assessments of literacy level. 2. The statistical analysis of the adoption of technology for soil and water conservation of farmers in villages had correleted with the tenure status of farm, agricultural chattles, annual income, educational experience, social status in the village, achievement motivation, internal loucs of control and individual modernity. It was not correleted with liabilities and literacy skills. 3. In terms of the adoption of technology for soil and water conservation of famers, it was found that 61.44 % of group adopted the method of plain, 55.22 % adopted the method of keeping soil and the rest adopted the mothed of slope. In terms of the communication channels, it was found that the intepersonal communication was mostly accepted by the group. 4. It was suggested that before any community development should take place the farmer's need and the main psychological traits should be assessed especially in the village around Kho Hin Sorn project, in order that the most appropriated ways of help could be provided.
