BACKGROUND

Department of Psychology, IIUM
The Department was established in 1990 as a department of the Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences to undertake programmes which are innovative and methodologically unique. It provides world class teaching, practical international experience in the field of psychology and a unique chance to share and develop the vision, knowledge, initiative and critical thinking needed to meet professional challenges and civilizational needs.

Behavioral Science Research Institute (BSRI)
Formerly known as the International Institute for Child Study and later on as the Bangkok Institute for Child Study, BSRI was established as a joint venture between the Government of Thailand and UNESCO in 1955. The focus of BSRI has been on behavioral science research in psychology, sociology, anthropology, education, economics and political science.

Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences (KIRKHS), IIUM
KIRKHS is the largest faculty in IIUM, with over 4,000 students and 250 academic staff in 11 departments.
