The purposes of this study were 3 aspects : (1) to study the relationship between work environments and psychological characteristics with personnel participation in educational quality assurance, (2) to investigate interactive effects of work environments and psychological characteristics on personnel participation in educational quality assurance, and (3) to predict the personnel participation in educational quality assurance from work environments and psychological characteristics. The sample in this study consisted of 500 academic officers of teaching and learning units in Chulalongkorn University. Instruments used for collecting data were 8 scales : (1) personal questionnaire (2) participation behavior in educational quality assurance scale (3) executive support scale (4) training in educational quality assurance scale (5) collaboration scale (6) attitude toward participation in educational quality assurance scale (7) work motivation in educational quality assurance scale and (8) mental health scale. Data were analyzed by using Pearson product - moment correlation, analysis of variance and multiple regression analysis. The findings were summarized as follow : 1. Executive support, training in educational quality assurance, work collaboration, attitude toward participation in educational quality assurance, work motivation in educational quality assurance, and mental health were positively correlated to personnel participation in educational quality assurance at .05 significance level. 2. The interactive effects of work environments and psychological characteristics on personnel participation in educational quality assurance were not found at .05 significance level. There were significance on personnel participation in educational quality assurance on main effect of work environments and psychological characteristics. 3. Work motivation in educational quality assurance, attitude toward participation in educational quality assurance, and mental health could explain 47.6% of variance in personnel participation in educational quality assurance.
